Gifted students are usually identified by their teachers and placed into a ‘gifted program, but rarely does the curriculum match the school’s intentions.

 

The purpose of our Gifted Enrichment program is to provide an appropriately challenging cognitive and academic program for students who perform, or show potential for performing at remarkably high levels. Each program is individually fashioned to extend the gifted student’s problem solving ability within one or more areas of interest, while developing critical thinking and higher reasoning skills. Students describe this as an opportunity to “really get into” their specific topic of interest.

 

In our vision, the gifted student is an incredible problem solver whose intellectual ability far exceeds his/her chronological age. The gifted student, like a prized race horse, requires a training regimen that is performance driven and challenges them beyond the norm.
